The feminine and versatile Suunto Lumi sports precision instrument has been selected as one of the world's best-designed products at the prestigious iF product design competition in Germany.
Hosted by iF Industrie Forum Design e.V., the competition annually convenes an international jury of design experts to examine and test products. For over fifty years, entries have been assessed for design quality, workmanship, choice of material, degree of innovation and functionality. This year, almost 3,000 entries from 39 countries were submitted for the iF product design category.
Suunto Lumi is the first sports precision instrument specifically designed for females. Packed with essential features for exploring the great outdoors, the Suunto Lumi includes an altimeter, barometer, compass, chronograph, thermometer, and sunrise and sunset times. It appeals to adventurous women who care about the design and quality of their sports instruments, and enjoy spending time outdoors.

"This is a great honor for us," says Juha Pinomaa, President of Suunto. "Design and quality are the cornerstones of our brand. This award is a great recognition of our long-term and persistent work in designing products to meet the specific needs of our customers."
The iF product design award is Suunto Lumi's second international design competition win this year. In June, Suunto Lumi won the famous red dot -design award, while its brother product, Suunto Core, received top honors with the best of the best red dot -award.
